Meetings

Towpath poets will gather on March 14th at 1pm for the regular bi-monthly meeting (via Google Meet). As a gathering space for haiku poets in the National Capital Area and Chesapeake Bay region, we welcome prospective members to join us for a meeting. The most recent meeting was held on January 10th, with 14 poets in attendance including new and returning members. The group had a discussion of kigo and local seasonal references, discussed the website and group facilitation, and shared and workshopped poems. 

Announcements

Following the January 10th meeting, several Towpath poets undertook a project to explore seasonal references local to the Chesapeake Bay region. Each poet submitted poems on this topic and voted on the poems submitted by others. The top-voted poems are published on the Towpath website at Along the Towpath: An Exploration of Season.
