Meetings

Towpath members gathered by Zoom to share news and poems on March 8th, with 12 members in attendance including a new member to the group. The session included various announcements, discussion of the upcoming Towpath anthology (published every 5 years), and workshopping of poems. The next regular meeting will be held May 10th. Announcements

Elizabeth Black was awarded first place from the Poetry Society of Virginia for a haiku sequence, “Backyard Birds.” Elizabeth was also nominated for a Pushcart for a tanka sequence, “California’s Charred Bones.” Matt Snyder was selected for the 2025 North Carolina Poetry Society “Poetry in Plain Sight” contest, his haiku graceful bow (below) will be publicly displayed in October.
