Meetings

Towpath members gathered by Zoom to share news and poems on September 14th, and discussed plans for an upcoming renku party (in person) and the upcoming group anthology. The next regular meeting will be held November 9th.

Announcements

Roberta Beary was a featured speaker at the 3rd International Haiku Conference at Kraków’s Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, which took place September 13-15, 2024 (photo below, credit Irena Szewczyk). Their presentation, titled ‘How to Haibun’, was followed by a lively Q & A session. Beary also helped judge submissions to the conference’s haiku contest in conjunction with keynote speaker Jim Kacian. Besides myriad locales in Poland, conference attendees represented Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, North Macedonia, The Netherlands, UK, and USA.
